The terms that apply when you work with us.
Last updated: October 27, 2026
By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our site or services.
Amelie Web Works provides web design, WordPress development, and related digital services for small businesses. The specific deliverables, timeline, and cost for each project are outlined in a written quote provided before work begins.
All pricing is provided on a per-project basis through a written quote. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they are issued. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the project scope changes significantly after the quote is accepted.
We require a 50% deposit before work begins. The remaining 50% is due upon completion and approval of the project, before the site goes live. Payment methods and details will be outlined in your quote.
The number of revisions included in your project will be outlined in your quote. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may be billed separately at an hourly rate, which we'll communicate to you in advance.
Once the project is fully paid for, you own the final website — including the design, code, and content. You are free to move, modify, or hand it off to another developer at any time. We retain the right to showcase the project in our portfolio unless you request otherwise.
Your website may use third-party tools, plugins, or services (hosting, domain registration, email, etc.). These are subject to their own terms and pricing. We'll help you set them up, but we're not responsible for third-party service outages or policy changes.
If you sign up for a monthly maintenance plan, it renews automatically each month. You can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. Maintenance covers WordPress updates, security monitoring, backups, and priority support as described in your plan.
We do our best to deliver quality work, but we can't guarantee specific business results (like traffic, sales, or rankings) from your website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
If you need to cancel a project after it has started, the deposit is non-refundable as it covers work already completed. We'll deliver all work completed up to the point of cancellation.
You are responsible for providing the content for your website (text, images, logos, etc.) and ensuring you have the right to use it. We are not liable for content you provide that infringes on someone else's intellectual property.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
