Ember & Oak is a cozy independent coffee shop in Kensington that was struggling to stand out against chain cafes nearby. They had a basic Google Business listing but no website, so customers couldn’t see their menu, check hours, or find out about their weekly live music nights.
I designed a warm, inviting WordPress site with a full menu page, an events calendar for their open mic and live music nights, a photo gallery of the space, and an online gift card form. The design uses earthy tones and big photography to capture the feel of actually being in the shop.
After launch, the owner noticed more first-time visitors mentioning they found the shop through Google. The events page helped fill seats on slower weeknights, and gift card sales gave them a new revenue stream they didn’t have before.
